SWEETA WALIA, DMD
Dr. Walia's background is quite diverse! While she is of North Indian descent she actually grew up in Quebec. Her family included several doctors so she was exposed to the medical field early on. After doing her undergraduate studies at Emory University, Dr. Walia pursued her dreams by getting her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She has dedicated time to intensive studying of general dentistry, implant dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. She also completed a General Practice Residency at Staten Island University Hospital, which involved advanced training in cosmetic dentistry and treatment for medically compromised patients. Dr Walia cares about her patients and makes it her goal to never stop going above and beyond to provide each patient the best of care.
Dr. Walia lives in Plano and in her spare time likes to travel and experience the outdoors and she also enjoys spending time with her two beautiful daughters.
KUSHAL PATEL, DDS
Dr. Kushal Patel was born in central New Jersey, where he developed a love for snow, pizza, and the Yankees. At 11, his family relocated to Allen, TX. He attended Allen High School and quickly grew to appreciate southern hospitality.
Dr. Patel is committed to providing exceptional dental care tailored to each patient's unique needs. With a deep passion for dentistry and an unwavering commitment to excellence, he strives to ensure a comfortable and positive experience for everyone who visits.
Dr. Patel graduated from UT Austin and earned his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dentistry. His comprehensive training covers various aspects of dentistry, equipping him to deliver top-quality care.
His patient-centered approach focuses on fostering long-term relationships built on trust and respect. Dr. Patel believes in educating his patients about their oral health and involving them in the decision-making process to ensure they receive the best possible care. His goal is to help patients achieve and maintain a healthy, beautiful smile for life.
An active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), Dr. Patel remains committed to continued learning. This dedication allows him to provide patients with the most current and effective treatments available.
Outside the office, Dr. Patel enjoys sports, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.

Cara Mergel RDA
Office Manager
Cara is our office manager. She is the friendly voice you most likely spoke with when you called our office. She started out as a dental assistant 35 years ago, when she was cross trained to also do the front desk. She loves working for a great doctor and staff. She is passionate about making sure her patients are her priority — they are all given the best quality of care and comfort and have a great experience. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her son and 7-year-old granddaughter.
Nancy Hernandez RDA
Dental Assistant
Nancy is our dental assistant. She has been in dentistry for five years and earned her RDA in 2019. She was trained very well by Dr. Walia, so she is very knowledgeable in a wide variety of dental procedures. With her calming personality, she has a way of making the patient feel at ease, which makes the patient appointment more enjoyable. When not working, she likes to spend time with her boyfriend and family and going to her sister's volleyball games.
